“Ink” e must-see-ul saptamanii asteia pentru ca SF-urile fantastice cu vana noua sunt rare in peisajul cinematografiei independente. Si de sarbatori asa ceva iti merge la inima. Iata trailer-ul, si stay tuned pt. mai multe argumente after the jump:

Fantezia noir “Ink” a fost filmata – se vede clar – pe un buget-siret, cu actori pasabili, nu grozavi, dar cu toate astea toata floarea cea vestita a pirateriei mondiale l-a scos intr-un prim-plan de factura hollywood-iana de-ndata ce-a pus mana pe el. Cineastul Winans s-a declarat fericit de intamplare, scriind urmatoarele:

“Dear Fans and Friends,

Over the weekend something pretty extraordinary happened. Ink got ripped off. Someone bit torrented the movie (we knew this would happen) and they posted it on every pirate site out there. What we didn’t expect was that within 24 hours Ink would blow up. Ink became the number 1 most downloaded movie on several sites having been downloaded somewhere between 150,000 to 200,000 times as far as we can tell. Knowing there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it, we’ve embraced the piracy and are just happy Ink is getting unprecedented exposure.

As a result, Ink is now ranked #16 on IMDb’s movie meter and is currently one of the top 20 most popular movies in the world.

This all started as a result of the completely underground buzz that you’ve each helped us create. We’ve had no distributor, no real advertising and yet the word of mouth that you’ve generated has made the film blow up as soon as it became available worldwide. So many of you came to see the movie multiple times, bringing friends and family and many of you have bought the DVD and Blu-ray from us. All of this built up and built up and suddenly it exploded.

We don’t know exactly where this will all lead, but the exposure is unquestionably a positive thing.

Cum se explica atata dragoste pentru un no-name? Oricat de greu de crezut ar fi, si povestea, si viziunea regizorala, si efectele sunt incredibil de eficiente, la un nivel profesionist care ar fi trebuit sa-i scoata pe capii de studiouri din toropeala pana acum. Poate ca-i mai bine asa totusi, fara campanii de distribuire conventionale – lipsa de fonduri palpabila iti da senzatia ca esti in prezenta unei perle pitite in scoica ei pe fundul oceanului. Si numai tu, spectatorul, stii ca-i acolo. Eu va dau coordonatele, ca s-o descoperiti singurei. In primul rand, din categoria detalii tehnice – spatio-temporal vorbind, “Ink” e aiurit de-a dreptul, de-a stangul si-mprejur! Asadar, ca sa ajung la rezumatul de mai jos a trebuit sa-l vad pe tot, ceea ce va recomand si voua, atunci cand va paleste o stare mai saraca-n cinism. Daca-l lasi, “Ink” te da pe spate.

Emma este o fetita pentru care se lupta tot restul distributiei. Rapita de un oarecare nasos fortos pe nume Ink, esenta fetitei e prizoniera intr-o lume paralela, lumea Storyteller-ilor si a Incubus-ilor, in timp ce fizicul ei e in coma, in lumea reala. Storyteller-ii sunt cei care ne aduc vise frumoase, si Incubus-ii – v-ati prins, tabara opusa, iar Ink are nevoie de Emma ca sa intre in gratiile bad guys-ilor. Daca sinopsisul suna banal, nu il spun eu bine. De fapt, nu se poate povesti senzatia pe care ti-o creeaza Winans cu-al lui “Ink” – exista cu toptanul nuante si substraturi, nu toate explicate (si, banuiesc eu, nici explicabile, doar sunt ca asa le-a vrut regizorul-scenarist). Natura vs. tehnologie, sacrificiu de sine vs. mandrie, dragoste vs. amortire, simtire vs. bani – temele nu sunt voalate in niciun fel, ca-ntr-o fabula ti se dau mura-n gura. DAR daca te prinzi ca asta e si ideea si te lasi purtat in poveste cu parametrii ei cu tot, vezi si auzi la un plus de intensitate mai rar generat in cinema-ul indie.
